Board President
With over 20 years of experience, I am a strategic professional dedicated to helping individuals and organizations thrive. My passion for cultivating balance and vitality drives my holistic approach, enabling me to support clients in achieving their goals while fostering both personal and professional growth. I have had a distinguished career in virtual learning, contributing to the advancing of opportunities in digital learning. I have had the opportunity to serve as the Founding Board President of Virtual Prep Academy of Florida and have enjoyed the evolution of our success.
I live in Kissimmee, FL with my husband and two daughters. In our free time, we enjoy traveling with our oldest daughter who is on a travel club volleyball team, and our youngest daughter who is involved in competition cheer.
Lisa Fuhrmeister

Board Vice President
Lisa Fuhrmeister is an accomplished education technology executive with more than 20 years of experience.
Lisa’s expertise includes launching and managing large virtual public schools across North America and directing operational support for international online schools in Africa, Asia, and South America. She has supported tens of thousands of students globally while working closely with state Departments of Education, School Boards, Superintendents, and school leaders.
As a founding member of the board, Lisa is committed to the success of Virtual Prep Academy of Florida students and the continued growth of the program.
Jennifer Parker

Board Secretary
As a Learning and Development leader, Jennifer has over twenty years of experience in leading learning and development functions in both educational and corporate settings. With a career spanning multiple industries and roles, she has honed a unique skill set encompassing curriculum development, program management, and team leadership.
Jennifer’s expertise extends beyond traditional learning paradigms to encompass business integration, change management, and strategic leadership. By fostering associate engagement and aligning learning objectives with organizational goals, she is committed to driving tangible results and contributing to the long-term success of any organization.
Jennifer’s passion is cultivating a culture of learning excellence and strong associate engagement within organizations and designing and implementing innovative learning solutions that drive business success. She has a proven track record of working closely with business leaders, building relationships and networks to identify areas of need and opportunities, and, based on analysis and business direction, collaboratively developing training programs and curricula to support the training needs across the organization.
Jessica Howell

Board Member
Dr. Howell received her Ph.D and M.A. in Russian History from The Florida State University. Trained formally as a historian, she has been a strong supporter of online and international education for the past two decades. Dr. Howell has participated in several faculty-led study abroad trips, as well as a faculty exchange and a Fulbright Scholar program. With a background in Russian and Latin American history, specifically revolutionary movements, her primary area of interest is 19th century agrarian social and political movements in Russia and comparative revolutionary studies. As Assistant Dean for Global Education and International Partnerships, Dr. Howell combines her passion for history with and international education.
Charles Korger

Board Member
Charles “Chuck” Korger is a wealth advisor based in Sarasota, Florida, with a professional focus on financial education, strategic guidance, and relationship-driven advising. His work centers on helping individuals and families clarify their goals, navigate complex financial decisions, and build long-term plans for success.
Throughout his career in financial services, Chuck has served as a founder, partner, and executive team member at multiple independent advisory firms. He has extensive experience in leadership, strategic planning, and organizational development. In addition to his advisory work, he currently serves as Vice President of the board for a financial services technology company. He values the opportunity to support mission-driven organizations that expand access to high-quality education, shaping future leaders and strengthening communities.
Chuck holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and finance from Doane University. He is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER® professional, an Accredited Behavioral Finance Professional™ and a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst®.
