Activities to Help Improve Mental Health and Increase Self-esteem.

Regular exercise is essential for maintaining both physical and mental health. Physical activities can help kids reduce stress, improve mood, and increase self-esteem.

Activities:

  • Yoga: Introduce kids and teens to age-appropriate yoga poses and sequences to improve flexibility, strength, and mental focus.
  • Dance parties: Organize spontaneous dance parties at home or join a dance class to help kids release energy and improve their mood.
  • Outdoor games: Encourage kids to participate in outdoor games to promote physical activity and social interaction – such as soccer, basketball, or tag.

Mental health is a unique journey for every child – there isn’t one solution for all, but these helpful tips are a good starting point in bettering yourself.

If you or someone you know is struggling or has suicidal thoughts, get help immediately.
